PROJECTS

Our main projects are devoted to mathematical modeling of mass-transfer in living systems and cell culture.
We are looking for collaborators in the following projects:  HORIZONT 2020
NMP-10-2014: Biomaterials for the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
PHC-15-2014: Clinical research on regenerative medicine.
BIOTEC-5a-2014-1: SME boosting biotechnology-based industrial processes driving competitiveness and sustainability
 
MAGISTER: Finalized EU FP7 Large-scale project (NMP3-LA-2008-214685)
MAGISTER is a frontier research project aiming to develop new conceptually type of Magnetic Scaffolds (MagS) for tissue regeneration and orthopaedic surgery involvement of 20 partners.
Project successfully promoted a conceptually innovative idea introducing the notion of magnetic scaffolds (MagS) for tissue engineering and regeneration for the first time. 
Software: The Main sphere of our activity is development and application of computer simulation to analyse biological processes (Oxygen/nutrient/hormone transfer at different diseases; Sewage treatment; Biogas technology; tissue engineering, biomaterials/cell interaction etc.).
To the present momet we have designed 7 programs for simulation and optimization of biological processes for industry and healthcare.
Local scientific projects we realized:
  • Working out the methods for the treatment of joints deseases using donor chondrocytes and autochondrocytes (NTSP scientific program of Ministry Health Care).
  • methods of xenotransplantation of thyroid gland cell culture in the treatment of hypothyroidism (NTSP scientific program of Ministry Health Care)
  • Working out diabetes treatment by transplantation of cells in the content of semipermeable device.(NTSP scientific program of Ministry Health Care)
  • “Investigation of apoptosis in mixed culture of islet and nervous cells” International Scientific Grant № B04МС-052
